Hospital Files

About Me

I am a physician with over three decades of clinical experience navigating the high-stakes environment of Internal Medicine and Intensive Care Units (ICU).

For the last 30 years, I have stood at the bedside of critically ill patients, managing the delicate balance between life and death. My career has been dedicated to the tense environments of healthcare—hospital wards, emergency rooms, and the ICU—where decisions must be made instantly, and where teamwork, medical knowledge, and compassion must align perfectly under pressure.

I have witnessed the anxiety of families, the exhaustion of medical teams, and the resilience required to never lose hope. This blog is my way of documenting those lessons.

About Hospital Files

This blog, Hospital Files, is my attempt to share my experiences, observations and questions arising in my mind — some answered and some still yet to be.

What I Write About

I cover the intersection of medical science, ethics, and the human experience, including:

  • Life Behind the Scenes: What really happens in the ICU and how teams function.
  • Critical Decision Making: How doctors make life-or-death choices under pressure.
  • Ethics & Law: The legal and emotional weight of critical care.
  • Patient Advocacy: Navigating the healthcare system from a caregiver’s perspective.
  • Myth Busting: Evidence-based corrections to common medical misconceptions.
  • The Human Side: Real-world stories of success, failure, and the resilience of the human spirit.
